But did you also know that our town is the proud home of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum? Founded back in 1972, the Hall of Fame and Museum has undergone major renovations in recent years, elevating this once quaint venue honoring the ancient sport to the status of a world-class shrine. During your visit, you’ll encounter slick electronic and hands-on exhibits, video footage of the most exciting moments from every NCAA Championship across eight decades, and a treasure trove of wrestling artifacts from Stillwater to Singapore and back. Guests who’d like to do a little more in-depth research will also enjoy the extensive holdings of the William S. Hein Library, which specializes in rare books and other documents illuminating the fascinating history of the sport.
